In this week’s Video of the Week, Benjamin Grove of Spectrum Inspection Group is welcomed to RERNLV for the first time. He chats with Harvey and Shelley about the limitations that surround home inspections if the home is owner-occupied. As Ben describes, home inspections are visual inspections only. There’s no invasive inspecting going on. Inspectors can use special tools such as thermal imaging, but sometimes furniture can be in the way, preventing inspectors from detecting a plumbing issue. Ben advises that buyers should rely not only on the home inspection report, but the seller’s real property disclosure (SRPD) and walk-through as well. Want to learn more? Be sure to watch this video!
